About Shulamith

Shulamith Clearbridge has lived in the Philadelphia area since 2021, preceded by Vermont, New Zealand, the Olympic Peninsula, Canada, Seattle, and Chicago. Her first career was as a classical music singer, singing in opera and symphony orchestra choruses and church and synagogue choirs. Following that she had a 30-year healthcare practice as a medical intuitive and energy work practitioner and teacher.

Shulamith has been a writer throughout her lifetime. She has written numerous articles, both serious and humorous, for journals and newspapers. She has written several books related to holistic health. Shulamith has also written screenplays, short stories, poetry, and music. To see her current books and articles, click here.

Shulamith has been teaching workshops and classes since she was 18 years old. She has taught privately (offering courses to the general public), for organizations (such as the American Association of University Women), institutions (such as public libraries), and continuing education programs in community colleges. She has led programs on spirituality and Quakerism for church and interfaith groups.

Since Shulamith’s retirement from healthcare in 2020, her writing and teaching have focused on spirituality.

For Friends, Shulamith has led workshops, retreats, and adult religious education programs for monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings. She has co-facilitated years-long series of Meetings for Healing and Experiment with Light. Shulamith has taught for Quaker retreat and conference centers, including Pendle Hill in Wallingford, PA, and for national organizations such as Friends General Conference. She has designed weekend retreats to meet the needs of particular groups.
